The first day of the program begins with a moment of meditation at the Mosque of the Prophet (Masjid al-Nabawi). According to an authentic hadith reported by Al-Bukhari and Muslim, the Prophet (salla Allahy ‘alayhi wa sallam) said : “One prayer in my mosque is better than a thousand prayers elsewhere, except in the Sacred Mosque”. You will have the opportunity to pray in this blessed place, and to visit the tomb of the Prophet and his two companions, Abu Bakr and Omar (May Allah be pleased with them).
The tour continues with the Medina Library, home to many historic Islamic manuscripts.
Next, you’ll explore the Qur’an Museum, where ancient copies of the Holy Book are preserved. Here, you can learn more about the history of revelation and the evolution of the Qur’an’s various scriptures.
The day also includes a visit to the Baqi’ cemetery, where several members of the Prophet’s family (sallah Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), his companions (may Allah be pleased with them all) and our pious predecessors are laid to rest.
Finally, a religious sitting (Arabic/French) is planned in the mosque of the Prophet (salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam) to share a spiritual moment, enrich your knowledge of the life of the Prophet (salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallam), and strengthen your faith.
